● Privacy policy

Privacy, without the guesswork.

This Privacy Policy explains how Neev handles personal data when businesses, their team members, and their customers interact with the service.

Privacy Policy

How Neev collects, uses, stores, shares, retains, and deletes personal data when people use the service.

Who operates Neev

Abhishek Kaushik, operating under the trade name Neev is responsible for operating Neev. References to “Neev”, “we”, “us”, or “our” in this policy mean that operator. Neev is currently a trade name, not an incorporated company.

Personal data we handle

We may handle account and identity information such as names, business roles, phone numbers, email addresses, and authentication details; business records entered into Neev, including customer, supplier, order, inventory, invoice, payment, and ledger information; messages and files submitted through Neev; and support communications.

We also handle limited technical information needed to run and protect the service, such as session, device, request, security, delivery-status, and diagnostic records. If you use the public automated assistant, we handle the message, a conversation identifier, and related response and safety records needed to answer and operate that feature.

A business using Neev decides what business content its authorised users enter and is responsible for having the necessary authority to provide it.

Why we use it

We use personal data to create and secure accounts, authenticate users, provide requested business workflows, deliver service communications, respond to support requests, prevent abuse, diagnose faults, maintain records required by law, and improve the reliability and usability of Neev.

Where consent or another permission is required by applicable law, we rely on that permission for the relevant activity. We do not sell personal data.

Notice, consent, and your choices

When Neev asks you directly for personal data, we aim to identify the information requested and the specific purpose in clear language so that you can make an informed choice. If a feature needs separate permission, we will ask through the relevant form, account flow, or communication channel.

Where processing depends on your consent, you may withdraw that consent by using the available account control or the privacy contact on this page. Withdrawal applies to future processing and may mean that a feature can no longer be provided; it does not undo processing already completed lawfully or records we must retain under applicable law.

Cookies and device storage

Neev uses session and security cookies needed for account access and may store a language or interface preference on your device. These technologies support authentication, security, and the choices you make; they are not described as advertising consent.

Neev does not currently place third-party advertising or behavioural-analytics cookies on the public website. If that changes, we will update this notice and add any choice or consent mechanism required by applicable law before using them.

WhatsApp, login codes, and the public assistant

If you choose WhatsApp for login or service messages, Neev sends Meta the destination phone number, message content (which may include a one-time login code), and information required to deliver and measure the status of that message. Do not share a login code with another person.

Meta processes this information under its own terms and privacy policy. Using WhatsApp may also create records in your or the recipient’s WhatsApp account that Neev does not control.

If the public automated assistant is enabled, your message and conversation identifier are sent to VeriCite to produce a source-grounded response. Do not submit passwords, one-time codes, Aadhaar numbers, payment credentials, or confidential production data to the public assistant. An automated response is informational and may require human review.

Service providers and disclosure

We disclose only the information reasonably needed to providers that help us host, secure, communicate through, maintain, and support Neev. This includes Google Cloud for Neev-controlled infrastructure, Cloudflare for internet delivery, Meta when WhatsApp functionality is used, and VeriCite when the public assistant is enabled. Optional integrations receive data only when a business enables and uses them.

We may also disclose information when required by applicable law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business reorganisation subject to appropriate safeguards. We do not describe an integration as a Neev-controlled store merely because data passes through it.

India-based Neev storage

Neev-controlled persistent production storage, including the primary database, object storage, and backups, is configured in India. The current production deployment uses Google Cloud asia-south1 (Mumbai).

External services, including Cloudflare for internet delivery, Meta when WhatsApp is used, VeriCite when the public assistant is enabled, and optional integrations you connect, process data under their own terms and privacy policies. Neev does not claim that those providers perform all processing or transient transmission only in India.

Retention and deletion

We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, keep the service secure, resolve disputes, and meet applicable legal, tax, accounting, or regulatory obligations. Retention can differ by record type and by the instructions of the business that controls the relevant record.

When data is eligible for deletion, we remove it from active systems and allow protected backup copies to expire through their normal lifecycle. We may retain a limited record where applicable law or a legitimate security or dispute need requires it.

Access, correction, erasure, and grievances

Depending on your relationship with Neev and applicable law, you may ask for a summary of personal data we hold and how it is used, correction or completion of inaccurate data, erasure of eligible data, withdrawal of consent, or review of a privacy grievance. Where applicable, you may also nominate another person to exercise rights in the event of death or incapacity.

If a business using Neev controls the record, we may direct the request to that business or work with it to respond. Rights can be limited where retention or processing is required or permitted by applicable law.

Abhishek Kaushik is Neev's Privacy Grievance Officer. Call +91 82875 98083 and say that you have a privacy request. Do not share sensitive records during the first call. We will record the case and arrange the identity check and response through an appropriate channel. Never share your password or one-time login code.

We handle grievances promptly. Where Rule 5(9) of the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011 applies, the Privacy Grievance Officer will resolve the grievance within one month of receipt.

Security, children, and changes

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the service, but no online system can guarantee absolute security. We investigate suspected personal-data breaches and provide notices to affected people or authorities when and within the time required by applicable law.

Neev is a business service and is not directed to children. Individual account users must have legal capacity to use the service. A business must not submit a child’s personal data unless its use is lawful, necessary for an approved business purpose, and supported by the notices and verifiable permission required by applicable law.

We may update this policy when our service, providers, or legal obligations change. The date shown on this page identifies the latest published version. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate service or contact channel.
