Overview
A customer pays you Rs 2,50,000 by NEFT. The money lands in your ICICI account, but Neev doesn't know which invoices it clears — so someone opens the bank statement, finds the line, and records the payment by hand. This connector is meant to close that gap: pull your ICICI (and HDFC) statement automatically and match each NEFT/RTGS credit to the right open invoice.
It is a roadmap item, not a shipped feature. The connector is listed as a target on Neev's public integrations page, but the direct bank-statement pull is not built yet. Until it ships, reconcile bank receipts the way you do today (see workflows below).
Do not wait for bank-direct auto-matching. There is no ICICI or HDFC statement pull in Neev today — the only automatic payment reconciliation that actually runs is Razorpay. Record NEFT/RTGS receipts by hand, or collect through a Razorpay link, in the meantime.
Where to find it
There is no ICICI screen in the app yet — nothing to switch on, nothing to configure. When the connector ships, an Owner will wire the bank link from Settings → Channels (/settings/channels, OWNER-only).
Today, reconcile bank receipts from the payment surface: Payments → Record payment (/payment-record, web). This is where an NEFT or RTGS credit gets matched to an open invoice manually. Owner and Accountant see it.
Key concepts
- National Electronic Funds Transfer / Real-Time Gross Settlement — the bank-transfer rails most B2B customers pay you on. A credit shows on your bank statement, not inside Neev, so it needs matching.
- Reconciliation — tying a bank credit to the invoice(s) it pays off so the customer ledger reads true. Done by hand today; the planned connector automates it for ICICI/HDFC.
- Auto-allocation — when a receipt is applied to the oldest open invoices first. This already runs on the live Razorpay path.
Common workflows
Until the bank pull ships, these are the real ways to clear a bank receipt against an invoice.
/payment-record).For amounts you'd rather not chase across a bank statement, collect through the live path instead:
Role notes
Two roles touch payments here. Setup of any future bank connector is a separate, Owner-only job.
- Owner Owner — holds every non-Pack permission, so the Owner records payments and, when the connector ships, configures the bank link in Settings → Channels. Note: capability permissions aren't even registered in the live catalog yet, so there is nothing for anyone to enable today.
- Accountant Accountant — owns the invoice-payment surface: records payments, adds tenders, generates invoice PDFs, and reads financial and Tally reports. This is the role that will run bank reconciliation day-to-day.
What the Accountant cannot do here: void or cancel an invoice, finalize/raise an invoice, or remove a tender. Voiding and tender removal stay with the Owner; raising an invoice is an operations (Manager) or Owner action. The Accountant also has no Settings access, so the Accountant cannot configure the bank channel itself; that's an Owner action.
Tips & time-savers
Want money to reconcile itself today, without waiting for the bank connector? Send a Razorpay payment link instead of bank details. When the customer pays, the webhook records the receipt and applies it to the oldest open invoices automatically — zero manual matching. It's the one payment path that already runs end to end.
Gotchas
The integrations page shows ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank as "Live," but direct statement pull is not wired in the product yet. Treat it as a roadmap target. Every NEFT/RTGS credit still has to be recorded by hand on /payment-record (or collected via Razorpay) until the connector lands in a later release.
